Renaud Bruyere

Renaud Bruyere was born and received his oenology education in Tain-l’Hermitage. Since 2004, he began his career in Jura, working with renowned natural winemaking masters — Overnoy and Stéphane Tissot. It was at Overnoy’s where he met his future wife Adeline, and Stéphane helped him acquire his first vineyard, Les Tourillons (0.7 hectares), located at an altitude of 400 meters. The plot was home to Chardonnay, Savagnin, and Trousseau vines planted in 1970. In 2011, Renaud released his first wines — 250 bottles of red and 700 bottles of white, both expressing the local terroir. Later, he expanded his holdings by purchasing plots near the villages of Pupillin (red varieties) and Montigny (white varieties). Today, the total vineyard area exceeds 4 hectares. Adeline is not only Renaud’s wife but also his loyal assistant. She shares his views on winemaking and actively participates in the vinification process despite caring for their three children. Her special intuition is considered one of the secrets behind the uniqueness of their wines. The estate adheres to biodynamic methods, believing that healthy soil is the key to creating natural wine. The main focus is placed on vineyard work.
