Maxime Ponson 1er Cru Extra Brut
A complex and intriguing aroma. Instead of simple citrus, there is a spectrum of yellow and white fruits (ripe pear, apple, apricot), floral notes (white acacia, hawthorn), and the spice characteristic of Meunier (ginger, white pepper, fresh bread). The minerality is pronounced—a sensation of chalk, flint, and even wet clay. The palate is direct, energetic, and dry. The taste mirrors the aroma but adds a remarkable texture. The acidity is lively, crystalline, yet not sharp—it carries the wine. The flavor evolves from juicy fruits to a mineral, almost saline core. Thanks to the low dosage, the finish is very clean, long, and dry, with a lingering mineral and spicy echo.
