Pascal Agrapart Mineral 2017 750ml
A deep, multidimensional, serious aroma. This is a dense concentration of minerality. Aromas of crushed chalk, flint, wet river stone, iodine, and flint smoke dominate. The fruitiness is subordinate and mature: baked quince, lemon curd, dried pear, apple skin. Notes of fresh almond, fennel, complex autolytic tones (fresh bread, malt), and a light waxy texture.
The palate is powerful, breathtaking, dense, almost "chewy," with a sensation of chalk paste and stone dust. Over time, juicy yet restrained citrus notes (grapefruit, citron zest) and the tonic bitterness of almond unfold. Laser-like, cutting, absolutely vibrant acidity. It doesn't merely support the wine but carves its shape, creating a sensation of cool, salty energy. An oily, velvety, incredibly voluminous texture. The wine envelops but does not overwhelm.
The finish is endless. Dry, salty, with a dominant taste of pure chalk and flint. The aftertaste lasts for minutes, cold, pure. This is not a finish; it is a constant echo.
