Jean-Charles Boisset

Jean-Charles Boisset is an outstanding French wine merchant and entrepreneur leading Boisset Collection, a large holding company that unites 28 wineries across three countries: California, France, and Canada. Winemaking traditions run deep in the Boisset family. His parents laid the foundation of the family business in 1961 by establishing a winery in the renowned Burgundy region. A new chapter in Boisset’s career began in the early 1990s when he crossed the ocean and settled in California. Here, he took his first steps as a winery owner. In 1999, together with his sister Nathalie, he established the prestigious Domaine de la Vougeraie. Boisset’s personal wine brand, JCB, represents a special line of wines named after numbers, following the style of the iconic Chanel No. 5 perfume. Particularly noteworthy is JCB No. 69, named after the founder’s year of birth. The JCB portfolio includes both sparkling and still wines originating from prestigious wine-producing regions. This brand showcases a diverse range of wines reflecting the quality and terroir of these distinguished wine regions.
