Uzunov Winery

The family’s history is deeply intertwined with winemaking traditions. Yaroslav Uzunov, the founder and chief winemaker, represents the fourth generation of winemakers. After graduating from the Kuban State Agrarian University, he continued his professional journey at the «Fanagoria» agrofirm. Yulia Uzunova, Yaroslav’s wife, works as a process engineer at the same enterprise. Yuri Ivanovich Uzunov, Yaroslav’s father and the ideological вдохновитель of the family project, serves as the chief winemaker of «Fanagoria». The family’s winemaking traditions go even deeper — Yaroslav’s grandfather and great-grandmother also worked at this renowned production facility. The winery’s journey began in 2008 when Yaroslav started experimenting with his own wines, renting 2 hectares of vineyards. In 2016, the estate expanded its holdings by gaining the opportunity to plant vines on its own land. All production processes are conducted exclusively by hand — from planting vines to harvesting and sorting berries. The winery is equipped with modern facilities designed according to a custom project. Aging takes place in oak barrels made of both Caucasian oak (produced by «Fanagoria») and French oak (Radoux). The production capacity allows for the annual release of up to 50,000 bottles of wine, opening up vast opportunities for the development of this family-owned enterprise. This combination of traditional craftsmanship and modern technology ensures the winery’s promising future in the industry.
