Terra00

Terra 00 is a unique project located in the picturesque village of Villalba-dels-Arcs, nestled in the heart of the Terra Alta DO wine region in southern Catalonia. The winery’s credo is expressed in the simple yet powerful principle «dese cep a la copa» («from vine to glass»). Here, natural wines are crafted without artificial additives or excessive processing — only the pure character of the local terroir shines through. In 2021, the project gained new momentum with the involvement of Pepe Mendoza — a renowned master of Spanish winemaking and defender of autochthonous varieties — and the talented winemaker Yvette Alonso. Terra Alta, which translates to «high land», is an appellation with a rich winemaking history dating back to the 13th century. The region is famous for its extensive plantings of Garnacha Blanca, a variety first mentioned here as early as 1647. The region gained particular fame for its traditional «brisat» style — white wines made with maceration on the skins. Terra 00 carefully revives this ancient tradition, creating exquisite, refined natural wines in amphorae without the use of any additives.
