Sloan Estate

The history of the winery took a new turn in 2011 when Sutong Pan and his daughter Jenny Pan, enchanted by the magnificent wines and stunning landscapes of Rutherford, purchased the estate from Stuart Sloane. Under his leadership, the estate achieved significant success over a period of more than fifteen years. Sloan Estate is located on the picturesque eastern hills of Rutherford, covering an area of approximately 16 hectares at an altitude of 266 to 302 meters above sea level. In 1997, the first vineyards were planted here, covering an area of more than 5 hectares. The unique porous soil, rich in minerals and composed of volcanic rocks and sandy loam, creates excellent conditions for growing grapes. Today, the Pan family carefully preserves the legacy of the winery and shares their passion for winemaking with connoisseurs around the world. A talented team of professionals, led by winemaker Martha McClellan, viticulturist David Abreu, and consulting enologist Michel Rolland, has been creating outstanding wines since 2001. These wines fully reflect the unique character of this extraordinary terroir.
