Château Val de Roc

The Château Val de Roc winery was established in the 1880s in the Entre-Deux-Mers region on the right bank of the Garonne River. Originally a small family estate, it supplied wines to Bordeaux for blends. In 1956, the vineyards were severely damaged by record frosts but were later restored. In the 1970s, the estate was acquired by the Dubois family, who expanded Merlot plantings and modernized the cellars. By the 1990s, it earned the Bordeaux Supérieur designation for its consistent quality. Currently managed by Vignobles Bréchet, who invested in new oak barrels and organic practices. The Château Val de Roc 2012 was served at the banquet celebrating the 70th anniversary of D-Day in Normandy.
