Satera
The «Satera» Winery is located in the picturesque village of Dolinnoye in the Bakhchisaray district of Crimea. The company’s history began in 2000 when Crimean entrepreneur Igor Samsonov, who had experience in alcohol distribution, along with partners, rented the production facilities of a former factory. The origins of the enterprise date back to Soviet times when these buildings belonged to the «Pobeda» collective farm, which specialized in growing and processing fruits, canning, and viticulture. In 2003, the partners completed the full purchase of the premises and began modernization. By 2005, a modern wine aging facility was launched, equipped with over 200 new barrels made of French and Carpathian oak. In-house viticulture became part of the company’s story in 2010. Today, «Satera’s» vineyards impress with their diversity, cultivating 17 grape varieties. The white segment includes 8 varieties: Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc, Gewürztraminer, Viognier, Riesling, Pinot Gris, and Gros Manseng. The red collection comprises 9 varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Syrah, Malbec, Sangiovese, Bastardo, and Marselan. Raw material quality is a top priority for the company. The majority of the саженцев were purchased from the French nursery Guillaume. The first harvest from the company’s own vineyards was collected in 2013. In addition to its own produce, the company carefully selects grapes from Crimean growers, imposing strict requirements: no pesticides and a special harvesting method using dedicated 12-kilogram plastic crates. Modern production enables «Satera» to operate as a fully integrated estate, producing both still and sparkling wines made using the classic Champagne method. The annual production volume has reached an impressive 3.5 million bottles, confirming the company’s status as a significant player in the wine market.
