Maison Parigot & Richard
Parigot & Richard is a legendary name in the history of the Crémant de Bourgogne appellation. The family made an invaluable contribution to the official recognition of the appellation in 1975. Their crémants serve as an exemplary model of exceptional quality and terroir-driven approach, which is rarely found outside of Champagne in sparkling wine production. The winery’s history dates back to Émile Parigot, who founded the family business in 1907. The estate’s name combines the surname of the founder and the names of his grandsons — Bernard and Guy Richard. Prior to 1975, the products were released under the Bourgogne Mousseaux label, a designation now exclusively used for producing red sparkling wines of Burgundy. Current management is in the hands of the fifth generation of the family — Grégory Georger, who has been leading the estate since 2002. The vineyard holdings cover an impressive area: 15 hectares owned, 3 hectares leased, additional purchase of grapes from 2 hectares. The supply policy is based on close collaboration with trusted suppliers, some of whom have long-term contracts with the estate. As a result, 80% of the grapes used are grown in-house, while 20% comes from reliable partners.
