Louis-Benjamin Dagueneau

Founded in 1982 by Didier Dagueneau, the estate boldly demonstrated to the world that Sauvignon Blanc is a great variety, proving that healthy grapes grown on exceptional terroir, with proper care and ripeness, can produce magnificent wines capable of aging beautifully. In 2002, he found his "dream vineyard" on the slopes of the Pyrenees foothills near the village of Obertin, which was humorously named "The Gardens of Babylon" due to its steep cliffs. After Didier's tragic death in 2008 during harvest, his son Louis-Benjamin took over, dedicating himself to elevating the wines to a high cultural and civilizational status through meticulous attention to detail and passionate commitment—making these wines some of the finest white wines in the world.
