Les Vignes de Paradis

Les Vignes de Paradis is a winery located near the Swiss border, close to Lake Geneva (Lac Leman). The estate owns 7.5 hectares of vineyards, where various grape varieties are cultivated: Chasselas, Chardonnay, Altesse, Pinot Noir, Gamay, as well as regionally rare Savagnin, Chenin Blanc, Pinot Gris, and Sauvignon. Dominique Lucas, a representative of the fifth generation of winemakers, founded the estate. Having grown up in Burgundy in a family estate in Pommard (2.5 hectares), he worked in renowned wineries, but concerns about chemical usage led him to establish his own business. In 2008, he fully dedicated himself to Les Vignes de Paradis. In 2010, following the death of his parents, Dominique sold the family vineyards in Pommard and permanently settled in Haute-Savoie. His daughter Justine, who initially did not plan to become a winemaker, now actively participates in managing the estate and is preparing to take over the family business. The winery operates according to biodynamic principles: it uses Alpine herbs, minimizes soil cultivation, and applies compost made from grape waste. 4.5 hectares of additional plots are produced under a separate label, Terroirs de Leman, while the certification process is ongoing. The wines are released under two brands: the main ones under the Les Vignes de Paradis label, while the products from the additional plots are released under romantic names such as «Morning Before the Lake» and «Little Paradise Corner».
