Lecler Briant

Founded in the village of Cumieres in 1872 by Lucien Leclerc, the business moved in 1955 to the premises it still occupies today on Chemin de la Chaude Ruelle in Epernay. It was during this period that, thanks to the dynamism of Bernard Leclerc, the great-grandson of the founder, and his wife Jacqueline Briant, the estate-based business changed its status to a Maison de Negoce — a trading house. In 2010, the house and brand were sold to the well-known Louis Rodolphe and Lanson, leaving only a 1-hectare plot — La Croisette. In 2012, Leclerc Briant was saved from oblivion when it was acquired by Mark Nunelly and Denise Dupré — an American couple passionate about the French "art de vivre" and who fell in love with the nonconformist character of this house. They were joined by Frédéric Zeimett, a native of Champagne, who has since led the house along the path of Champagne traditions, serving the expression of a unique style recognized worldwide.
