Dominio del Challao is born the way a body is born — from a deep desire: to shape an authentic wine, with an artisan's soul, with feet rooted in history and eyes set on what is to come. After many years of learning and searching in Argentina, El Bierzo, and Burgundy, Manu Michelini arrives in Rioja Alavesa with a heart open to encounter. It was in Labastida where that desire revealed itself in full force: a village, its geography, its culture, and its memory vibrated in unison with his intuition. Since then, Manu cultivates his vision in these lands, crafting wines that dialogue with the rugged valleys, the limestone soils, and the cold breath of the Cantabrian wind. There, where the idea became matter, the wine found its voice.
