Domaine Pierre Girardin

Pierre Girardin represents the 13th generation of a renowned winemaking family. From an early age, he absorbed the art of winemaking in his father Vincent Girardin’s vineyards, chasing tractors and observing cellar work. In 2011, when transferring the estate to a new owner, Vincent prudently retained 4.5 hectares of the best plots for his son. Already in 2017, Pierre presented his debut vintage, making a strong statement as a promising talent in Burgundy. Thanks to his father’s extensive connections, Pierre expanded his holdings by securing long-term contracts with prestigious producers who appreciate his meticulous approach to viticulture. His portfolio includes exceptional plots: Puligny Folatieres, Volnay Clos des Chenes, Pommard Epenots, Corton-Charlemagne, and even the legendary Montrachet. Today, he proudly leads his own estate — Domaine Pierre Girardin. In winemaking, Pierre follows his own vision: for white wines, he uses special 456-liter barrels from François Frère, minimizing the influence of wood. The red wines are distinguished by their elegance and silkiness, carefully preserving the unique characteristics of the terroir. Even Pierre’s first wines received high praise from critics, confirming his natural talent and skill.
