Domaine Ernest Burn

Domaine Ernest Burn owns an exceptional asset — the Golder Grand Cru vineyard, a true gem in the winery’s collection. Of particular value is the Clos Saint-Émé plot, named after the patron saint of Heberschwiller. The history of this place dates back to ancient times. The Alsatian archives contain ancient parchments свидетельствующие that as early as 1345, there were magnificent vineyards called «Sanktimeriushalde» in the vast wine-growing region of Heberschwiller. Ernest Burn, coming from a family of winemakers with a three-century-old tradition, began the revival of these historical terroirs in 1934. After revolutionary divisions, destructive wars, and the phylloxera invasion, the vineyards were in decline. Ernest not only acquired the land and restored the infrastructure but also planted new vines, which soon began producing excellent fruit. Today, descendants continue their ancestor’s work, carefully preserving traditions and respecting the greatness of this land. The family strictly adheres to the principles of sustainable winemaking, maintaining high production standards and preserving Ernest Burn’s legacy.
