Domaine de la Romanеe-Conti
Domaine de la Romanée-Conti (DRC) is not just a winery; it is a true legend, shrouded in an aura of grandeur and luxury. Located in the heart of the Burgundy region of Vosne-Romanée, this French wine estate has captured the hearts of connoisseurs worldwide. The history of DRC dates back to the 15th century when monks from the Abbey of Saint-Vivant cultivated the lands that would later become the legendary Romanée-Conti vineyard. In 1631, the vineyard came into the hands of the Kroneburg family, and in 1869, Jacques-Marie Duvault-Blochet established what we now know as Domaine de la Romanée-Conti.The vineyards of DRC stretch across some of Burgundy’s finest slopes. A particularly renowned site is the famous Romanée-Conti vineyard itself, covering only 1.8 hectares — a true jewel producing some of the most expensive wines in the world. The estate’s vineyards also include other prestigious plots.DRC’s philosophy is an impeccable blend of tradition and innovation. Situated at an altitude of 260-275 meters above sea level, the Pinot Noir and Chardonnay vines yield their best grapes here. The vineyards are cultivated according to organic principles, with biodynamic methods being implemented over the past ten years.Today, the estate is managed by outstanding masters: Aubert de Villaine, Gérard Marlo, and Bernard Noblet. Each DRC wine is a work of art, crafted with love and meticulous attention to detail. Limited production runs, handcrafting, and impeccable quality make these wines highly sought-after trophies for collectors and enthusiasts alike. Domaine de la Romanée-Conti is more than just a winery; it is a symbol of perfection, an embodiment of the Burgundian dream, and proof that wine can be a true work of art.
