Domaine les Monts Fournois

Domaine Les Monts Fournois is an ambitious joint venture initiated by a talented trio: Raphaël and Vincent Bérêche, along with their cousin Juliette Alips. The exquisite estate is nestled in the picturesque region of Ludes, located in the northern tip of the prestigious Montagne de Reims, within the unique area of La Grande Montagne. Although the domain is still in its active development phase, it is already rightfully considered the second significant property of the esteemed Bérêche family. Juliette Alips, raised in a winemaking family in the heart of Champagne, showed genuine interest in the art of winemaking from a young age. Thanks to the mentorship of her cousins Raphaël and Vincent, she mastered all the intricacies of Champagne production, from vineyard cultivation to the complex process of assemblage. After obtaining professional education at the prestigious Beaune wine school in 2020, Juliette enriched her experience through internships at distinguished wineries: Louis Latour in Burgundy, G.D. Vajra in Piedmont, and the legendary Maison Roederer, where she spent over a year. Currently, Juliette, supported by her cousins, oversees the complete management of the vineyards and production at Domaine Les Monts Fournois. While the domain’s debut wines will only be ready in a few years, a négociant project is already underway, thanks to the extensive professional connections of the Bérêche family and the support of fellow winemakers. This project enables the creation of exceptional Champagnes under the Domaine Les Monts Fournois label using high-quality purchased grapes. A special labeling system reflects the wines’ terroir of origin: the designation «Côte» indicates vineyards in Côte des Blancs, «Montagne» refers to Montagne de Reims, and «Vallée» to Vallée de la Marne. The labels also feature precise indications of the village or villages that impart their unique character to the grapes.
