Domaine Jamet
The history of the winery began in the 1960s when the family of Jean-Paul Jame acquired an estate in the village of Vallin. At that time, the property included various fruit crops, among which three hectares of vineyards with Syrah and Gamay vines stood out. True fame came to the family only in 1976, when young Jean-Paul, driven by a passion for winemaking, left school to create his own wines. At the tender age of 16, he embarked on the path of a winemaker, and his natural sensitivity to the peculiarities of the Rhône terroir became his reliable compass in mastering all the intricacies of winemaking. Over 45 years of winemaking, Jean-Paul, without formal education, has managed to become a benchmark for the entire region. His wines, created in accordance with a personal philosophy based on deep respect for tradition and personal taste, consistently demonstrate the highest level of craftsmanship. Thanks to his relentless pursuit of excellence, he produces some of the most refined and harmonious wines in Côte-Rôtie.
