Domaine David Duband

The Duband family has been engaged in viticulture in the vicinity of Nuits-Saint-Georges for a long time. However, for many years, the harvest from their family plots was sold to one of the cooperatives in the city of Beaune. Today, Domaine David Duband, whose office is located in Chevannes in the heart of the Hautes-Côtes de Nuits, produces wines in 23 prestigious Burgundy appellations, from Nuits-Saint-Georges to Gevrey-Chambertin. The decisive role in transforming simple grape growers into one of the most promising producers in the Côte de Nuits belongs to David Duband: he was the first in the family to decide to bottle the estate's wines independently and under his own name. He was only 19 years old at the time. The debut wines of Domaine David Duband were Aux Thorey and Les Procès – from the 1991 vintage, belonging to the Nuits-Saint-Georges appellation. Today, Domaine David Duband is considered one of the most promising young estates in the Côte de Nuits and Burgundy as a whole. Its wines have been recognized by popular French wine guides. Since 2006, the estate has practiced organic winemaking.
