Chateau Le Puy
The Amor family has owned Château Le Puy since 1610. Most of the castle was rebuilt in 1832, and the historic 17th-century part has been preserved. Located on a rocky plateau with a view of the Dordogne Valley, the region was once called the "wonderful hills" for its renowned wines. Nearby are ruins of a Gallo-Roman settlement and an ancient stone tool-making center. The vineyards cover the highest point in Gironde — 51 hectares across three plots on the same rocky plateau. The winery practices organic and biodynamic viticulture without chemicals, using natural vinification methods; the wines are unfiltered and sealed with wax.
