Bodega Bouza
Bodega Bouza is one of the leading wine producers in Uruguay, renowned for its innovative approaches and premium wines. The winery was founded in 1999 by the married couple Elisa and Juan Bouza, in collaboration with the renowned Uruguayan winemaker Eduardo Boido. The founding story began with the acquisition of a 35-year-old vineyard in the Las Violetas region (Canelones). In 2001, the family purchased a historic estate in Mellila (Montevideo), which was restored and transformed into a modern winemaking complex. The winery is also famous for its restaurant, magnificent architecture, and collection of vintage cars. Today, the children of Juan and Elisa Bouza are actively involved in the family business, continuing to develop winemaking traditions and expanding the company’s holdings. The family’s dedication to excellence and innovation has positioned Bodega Bouza as a prominent player in the Uruguayan wine industry, maintaining its reputation for producing high-quality, distinctive wines.
