Au Sommet
The «O Summe» project was born thanks to the unique alliance of three talented professionals: experienced viticulturist John Schwartz, qualified agronomist Jim Barbour, outstanding winemaker Heidi Peterson Barrett. Heidi Peterson Barrett is one of the most promising enologists in the USA, whose background predetermined her destiny in the world of winemaking. Her father, Richard Peterson, is a legendary figure in the American wine industry, and her mother is a talented artist. This combination of scientific and creative heritage has given Heidi the perfect set of qualities for creating exceptional wines. Her impressive talent became evident during her internships at the prestigious wineries Dalla Valle and Screaming Eagle. The vintages of these iconic wines created by her received the highest rating — 100 points from renowned critic Robert Parker. The philosophy of the project is based on the principles of self-sufficiency: «O Summe» wines are produced exclusively from their own harvest, without using any external grapes. The year 2008 became a landmark in the project’s history — it was then that the first harvest was collected, marking the beginning of the creation of legendary «O Summe» wines.
