Pierre Girardin le Noyer Chardonnay 2023 750ml

The bouquet is incredibly pure and expressive: bright, fresh notes of lime, lemon zest, and grapefruit. Hints of pear, white peach, white apple, as well as light floral nuances of hawthorn. Soft, delicate accents of roasted hazelnut, butter, pastry, toast — they do not overwhelm but merely underline the fruit. At the base of the bouquet are notes of wet stone, chalk dust, and flint, which give the wine depth and seriousness. The main distinguishing feature of this wine is that it is simultaneously smooth, structured, and sleek. The wine is medium‑bodied, with good concentration. It has a taut, muscular texture that, however, does not overload the palate. The acidity is lively, crystalline, and tense — it is the backbone that gives the wine remarkable elegance, freshness, and aging potential. It is a paradoxical combination: the wine possesses a rich, “oily” texture yet remains light on its feet, airy, almost “soaring” thanks to its acidity and mineral salinity. The palate echoes the nose: citrus, pear, spices, white flowers. The finish is very long, persistent, and dry, with a dominant saline minerality and light nutty nuances.
