The aroma is generous and ripe, yet restrained by a mineral framework. Tones of ripe yellow fruits dominate: peach, apricot, mango. Notes of honey, dried herbs, and the waxy nuance characteristic of warm years are present. However, a cold mineral component will inevitably be felt in the background: flint, slate, limestone, preventing the aroma from becoming purely tropical. The palate is dense, fleshy, substantial. Juicy peach and citrus tones. The acidity, though not as crystalline, will be sufficient to support the structure and provide shape. The texture will be voluminous, almost oily, yet with a perceptible mineral coolness on the mid-palate. The finish is long, with notes of ripe fruit, almond, and a distinct chalky finale.
