It is dominated by wildflowers, acacia, honeysuckle, ripe pear, yellow plum, quince, hints of green apple and citrus (lemons, pomelo), crushed stone, oyster shell, and flint—the signature of Chassagne-Montrachet. The palate is concentrated, vibrant, and silky. The wine possesses a dense, almost oily texture that never becomes heavy thanks to its bright acidity. The acidity is high, crystalline, and taut. It serves as the backbone of the wine, lending it freshness and remarkable elegance. Flavor notes include ripe yellow fruits (peach, apricot) and citrus, which give way to a mineral, slightly saline core. The finish is very long, dry, and clean, with a persistent mineral echo and a light, spicy bitterness.
