Domaine Benjamin Roblot Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Gruenchers 2016 750ml

he aroma is deep, serious. Dark cherry and blackberry smoothly transition into spices (cinnamon, clove), notes of licorice, cedar, smoke, and graphite. The fruits are dark and confiture-like. A cold, chalky mineral core is perceptible. Powerful, concentrated, and structured. Full-bodied. On the palate, condensed dark berries and spices emerge, with a noticeable but quality oak spiciness. The acidity is vibrant, bright, which saves the wine from heaviness. The tannins are abundant, dense, still slightly dry and "young." This is not a silky Chambolle, but a Chambolle with character, muscle, and ambition. The finish is very long, with dominant tannins, minerality, and tones of dark fruits.
