A giant, multi-layered palette of aromas. Initially, an explosion of black fruits: ripe black plum, blackberry jam, black cherry, and prune. This is followed by heavy, sensual notes of dark chocolate, licorice, aged tobacco, and cured meat. The notes from new French oak are perfectly integrated: vanilla, toasted spices, cedar, and graphite. Incredibly dense, rich, and unctuous on the palate, with a concentration that feels almost like liquid silk. The aromas from the nose carry through to the taste, complemented by nuances of fruit pie and espresso. The tannins are ripe and silky—they don’t scratch but rather envelop. The acidity is fresh, preventing the wine from feeling heavy. The finish lasts for minutes, leaving impressions of black fruits, minerality, and sweet spices.
