Weingut Friedrich Becker "B" Pinot Noir 2017 750ml

The bouquet of this Pinot Noir is a complex, multi‑layered symphony that unfolds gradually. At first, aromas of forest berries, strawberry, cherry, and tart plum dominate, creating a juicy and fresh impression. Then, delicate notes of violet, herbaceous hints of dry thyme, and subtle spice emerge. At the core of the bouquet lie nuances of pencil shavings, damp forest, cedar, and graphite. A light smokiness and wisp of smoke complete the picture. The palate is a perfect balance between power and elegance, where every element is in its place. The vibrant, mineral acidity is its backbone, providing freshness and structure. The tannins are ripe, very fine, and polished – they give the wine necessary structure without any astringency. The heart of the palate is woven from notes of ripe cherry, redcurrant, and plum. These give way to deeper nuances: wild strawberry, blackberry, hints of leather, iron, coffee, and dark chocolate. The finish is exceptionally long, persistent, and dry, with a lightly saline touch and a pleasant spicy bitterness that leaves an aftertaste and the desire for another sip.
