Full-bodied, velvety, yet lean wine with a dense consistency. Thanks to its aging and acidity, it retains surprising freshness and lightness. The acidity is high, bright, piercing — it is the backbone of the wine, giving it focus, verticality, and longevity. It is precisely for its high acidity that the grape variety was nicknamed “dog strangler.” On the palate, nutty and honeyed notes dominate, supported by complex hints of smoky apricot, Madeira, and orange peel with an iodized undertone and a pleasant spicy bitterness. The finish is long, dry, crisp, and vibrant, with notes of hazelnuts and a persistent mineral aftertaste.
